My son, in grade four, has developed anxiety due to the wearing of masks and other restrictions implemented at school. The anxiety begins the night before school and results in loss of sleep, which is detrimental to his learning and overall happiness. He told me he feels like he is in prison when he is at school. The negative impact on his mental health is concerning. That is to say nothing of the physical effects of the pandemic. He is not alone, we know that. This is an attack on all our children. His after school program forces children to use sanitizer by physically holding their hands so they cannot pull away, even when they say no. Forced masking and sanitizer amounts to assault and our children are suffering. End this dangerous, toxic policy now and maybe our kids will have a chance of recovery.
